Apple Skin Leather Swatches
Made from 50% apple peels and 50% polyurethane, apple leather is a byproduct of the apple juice industry. The repurposing of apple skin also keeps them from decomposing and producing methane that contributes to climate change. Durable, breathable, UV-resistant, and hypoallergenic.
How Apple Skin Leather is Made

Apples are harvested from
an orchard in Bolzano, a
valley nestled among hills
and vineyards set in the
Northern Italy.

After juicing, the
peels are rescued for
a higher purpose.

The apple peels
are ground into
a fine powder.

The powder is mixed with harmless, non-toxic, organic pigment and transforms into bio-based leather. The apple leather makes up the uppers of every piece in the Autron APPLE collection.
REUSE apple peels, which would have been wasted.
REDUCE greenhouse gas and environmental impact.
RECYCLE water & non-toxic chemicals.
